Sam Hornish Jr Isn't Expecting Instant Success

Sam Hornish Jr knows that instant success very rarely happens and in racing it usually takes awhile. Joining Nascar Hornish Jr knows that he will have a learning curve and he his fine with that. It takes time to be successful and he's willing to wait.

Luckily for Sam Hornish Jr he has some very good teammates and a owner to draw advice from which should help him get to where he wants to be a lot quicker than if he was stuck on a team by himself. Sam Hornish Jr should do fine just give him some time and he will win races. he just needs some time.

John Andretti Will Be Back With Bam Racing

John Andretti will return to BAM Racing next year after a good run for them at the ned of the seaosn. Andretti is a good guy and hasn't really hasn't had much luck lately. This is another opportunity and hopefully good things will come from it.

I like Andretti and would love to see him win some races with BAM Racing. You never know what will happen, but here's wishing John Andretti a great 2008.

Jimmie Johnson Makes It 4 in A Row

Jimmie Johnson has put his stamp on this chase with another win at Phoenix his fourth in a row. Johnson has been on fire and this win marks his 10th for the year which means he is definitely the best this year. Jeff Gordon has all but conceded the game and I really can't blame him.

Now over 80 points behind with just one race left it's no doubt that Jimmie Johnson will be the 2007 Nextel Cup Champions. Johnson has been the best all year long and deserves to be called champion.

David Reutimann Wins Caution Filled Race At Memphis

David Reutimann maybe failed to qualify for the Nextel Cup race Sunday, but he made up for it by winning the Sam's Town 250 at Memphis Motorsports Park. Reutimann avoided trouble and was able to dodge the 25 caution flags to grab his first Busch win.

It was Reutimann's first win at a Busch race in 63 career starts. It was also the first win for Michael Waltrips racing team that started this year. The win also kept alive his slim championship hopes for the Busch championship. Carl Edwards ran into trouble during the race so that helped also.

Greg Biffle Still Has It

Even though Greg Biffle didn't make the chase it doesn't mean he is going to fold up his tent either. Biffle ran to the top of the speed chart in Atlanta and took his first poll in over a year. He edged out Kurt Busch and Dale Jarrett was third.

Biffle has been running good lately with a few other drivers so this is really no surprise. With no pressure on Biffle he can run free and loose so that could have had something to do with it.

Two Man Race Johnson vs Gordon

Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson are the best of friends and it's really just down to them when we talk about the next Nextel Cup Champion. Both have been friends for awhile now and it looks like it will stay that way at least for awhile. This should be a very interesting last four races for both of them.

How deep does a friendship go? How much does a championship mean to them? All these questions will be answered in the next four races. Championships do different things to different people. I guess they will see how tight their friendship really is in the end.

Ryan Newman Slowly Getting Back On Top of His Game

Ryan Newman hasn't won a race in two years and that just makes the hunger for a win burn even brighter for Ryan Newman who finished second this past weekend at Martinsville. Newman has showed so much promise, but it seems bad things happen when it looks like he is going to win.

Newman though to his credit hasn't given up and keeps blogging away never backing down and giving it his all. Two years is a long time between wins, but many never ever see a win. These are things that Newman looks at everyday and it pushes him to try even harder to find the winner's circle.

Carl Edwards Apologizes For Confrontation With Matt Kenseth

Carl Edwards apologized for the confrontation he had Sunday night with Matt Kenseth as he admitted he was wrong in the way he went about it. Carl Edwards and Matt Kenseth haven't talked in a long time and this was coming to a head so this really doesn't surprise me. Edwards has been upset with the lack of teamwork has irked Edwards. Jimmie Johnson actually calls him more than his own teammates do when he does a good job or gets a win. In reality Edwards teammates should be the one calling him not Jimmie Johnson.

Hopefully this will be taken care of internally and Roush Racing can get past this and Edwards and Kenseth can get along better when their on the track and even off the track. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens though.

Dale Jr Going About His Business

Dale Jr has been really quiet lately running hard every week keeping quiet and doing the best he can for DEI. Junior has earned a lot of respect this year from me and a lot of fans who really weren't fond of him. I was one of those fans. I've grown to respect him a lot this year and can't wait to see him at Hendricks Motorsports. People are going to be real surprised how well he will run next year.

There won't be a learning curve for Junior as he will have Tony Eury Jr right beside him and will be one of the favorites for next years title. It will be good to see Junior have a chance at a title he deserves it.

Jeremy Mayfield In Jeff Green Out

Jeremy Mayfield will be in the No. 66 car replacing Jeff Green who is now without a ride. Mafield will be in for thge last four races and also will be driving for Haas/CNC Racing for next year. The sponsor and car number hasn't been lined up yet, but an announcement should come fairly soon.

I've liked Mayfield and Green as both have been places that they just haven't been able to click for some reason. Hopefully they will be able to click in there new rides. I think Green will have a ride shortly probably in the Busch series.
